A must-see place on the Biscay coast
Just 20 minutes from Bilbao, Ereaga beach runs along the promenade that links the Old Harbour of Algorta and the Marina next to the Galerías de Punta Begoña, surrounded by mansions.
This beach of golden sand, moderate waves and almost 900 metres long is ideal for enjoying sun and sea. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, and a large car park.
You can continue along the promenade from the Marina to the Puente Colgante (hanging bridge).
How to get there
- Road: Take the BI-637 to Getxo, then go in the direction of the El Abra Marina.
- Metro: Neguri stop 500 metres from the beach. Alternative: At Metro stop Algorta, in Plaza María Cristina take the Algorta-Ereaga elevator down to the beach.
- Bus: Several Bizkaibus lines reach this beach.
